Die Bilder und Videos zu XEnviro stimmen mich schon hoffnungsvoll und ich würde es gern kaufen.

Aber Aussagen wie von KarstenS im Aerosoft-Forum stimmen mich schon nachdenklich:

Hmm das plugin ist wirklich toll...nur ??? fliege ich immer bei schönem Wetter wie bekomme ich Schnee oder Regen was für einstellungen und Wo muss ich diese machen ??? DANKE

Wenn Du xEnviro nutzt und Schnee oder Regen haben willst, ist ein guter Draht zu Petrus nötig. Ansonsten suchst Du Dir eine Stelle in der Welt, wo gerade Schnee oder Regen zu finden ist. Augenblicklich wäre für Schnee und Kälte Archangelsk eine gute Adresse. Für Regen/Gewitter hielte ich Darwin für geeignet.

Remarks:

Alle zusätzlichen Wetterplugins usw. ( FSGRW, RTH, MaxxFX, RWC, SMP-SilverLinig, SoundMaxx, NOAA usw. ) deaktivieren!

Achtung: Das Wetter braucht einen Moment um sich zu zeigenKicherman Sprich, es baut sich langsam auf ( auch beim verstzen zu einem anderen Flugplatz )!

Ist "SoundMaxx" wirklich ein Wetter-plugin?
Ich dachte, es bringe nur Hintergrundgeräusche auf einem Flugplatz.

Richtig, ist kein Wettertool aber xEnviro produziert eigenen Sound und zwei mal Sound gibt nicht zwei sondern nullKicher

Danke... ja dann ist es wirklich so das wenn in der Realität schönes Wetter ist auch im Xenviro strahlender Sonnenschein...

Super, nun kan mann das Wetter vom xEnviro (METAR.rwx, im Hauptordner vom XP ) usw. auch im EFASS nutzen.
Man hat also das gleiche Wetter im EFASS wie im Sim.

Test: Pfad "FSGRW" oder Pfad "XP-METAR.rwx", Wetter identisch!

IVAO oder VATSIM habe ich nicht getestet.

Habe bei der XSquawkBox das Wetter deaktiviert!

How to get the correct Weather

First of all, you have to make a decision:
• Am I flying online?
• Do I use 3rd party Weather Tools like xEnviro, FS Global Real Weather or ActiveSky?
• Do I always want the Real-World weather?

Why? Because the weather might be quiet different.

Go to Menu -> Settings and click the tab "Weather"

Option 1: Real World Weather and GFS
If you select this, EFASS will automatically download the latest weather information including Upper Winds. That is nice, but depending on what your Simulator does, you might see differences! The downloaded weather files have an approximate size of 8mb (MegaBytes!) So if the weather updates slowly, it's obviously your internet connection speed that's the bottleneck here.

Option 2: Aviation Network Weather and GFS
If you select this, EFASS will fetch all surface weather information from your selected Aviation Network (IVAO/VATSIM/Whatever...). The winds aloft will be taken from the Real-World-Weather (see Option 1). The downloaded weather files here are a bit smaller than in Option 1, but don't expect less than 5mb.

Option 3: FS Global Real Weather
If you select this, EFASS will load the Data from FSGRW (surface and winds aloft). But you need to enable Data-Exchange in FSGRW BEFORE selecting this. Otherwise FSGRW will not produce any data output and EFASS can not read the weather information. It is also a good idea to connect FSGRW and your simulator BEFORE running EFASS, otherwise the data provided by FSGRW might be outdated.

Option 4: Individual Source
Internally we call this option "Read any file and see if it contains Weather-Information". So: If you are for example X-Plane user, or xEnviro User, or SkyMaxx Pro user (in combination with RWC), you can select a file called METAR.rwx (maybe with some prefix from SkymaxxPro) that should be located in your X-Plane base directory. xEnviro also updates this file.
If you did so, EFASS will load the surface weather information from that file and you can be sure that EFASS will show exactly the weather that your Simulator uses.
PS: You might also enter a custom Web-Address here (include http:// at the beginning). In that case, EFASS will load the weather from that remote location.

A note to ActiveSky:
This is not yet implemented but it will come soon.

A general note to Option 3 and 4:
If you selected one of these options, and you started EFASS before the Weather-Addon/Simulator/xEnviro/blabla, you might hit the "Reload Weather" Button in the top bar of EFASS after launching your addon and after your addon has loaded the latest data. However: If you use Option 4, EFASS will check if the file was modified. If so, a weather reload will be automatically initialized.

The weather is wrong?
Check your logs. The log will tell you why.

Die Suppenturner ( Solothurner) sind verdammt schnell...

Heute habe ich getestet, ob xEnviro auch über dem Atlantik mit dem Wetter, insbesondere mit der Wolkendarstellung, zurecht kommt.
Dazu habe ich eine Flug von Lissabon nach Punta Cana geplant. Die aktuelle Wolkenstitiation über dem Atlantik sah ich mir hier http://www.wetteronline.de/wet…=10382&wra=true&wrf=false an.
Nach dem take off wolkenloser Himmel und dann ging es raus auf den Atlantik. Und tatsächlich nach einer knappen Stunde sah ich die erste Wolkenwand!! Nun bin ich noch mehr begeistert, dass xEnviro auch die Wolken über stationsloser Gegend darstellt!
Noch ein dicker Pluspunkt für das Programm.
