Test mit JD320, MD80, Cessna usw. mit wildem Suchen mit der Maus im Cockpit um den richtigen Switch zu finden...............wo schaltet man das Wetterradar ein?

On the X-Enviro Facebook group, lead programmer Andrey posted this video in response to complaints that the clouds don't move in X-Plane, SMP or X-Enviro. Please note that this is a working version 1.07rc6 which is not yet finished.

Exakt! So habe ich es auch gemacht und es gab keine Probleme. Der Vorteil ist, dass die Lizenz gleich mit übernommen wird, wenn es auch nur ein Update ist.
Und genau da liegt der Hase im Pfeffer: Der erste Eindruck war für mich enttäuschend. Der gleiche bonbonfarbige Himmel und ebenso die Störungen des Flugzeugschattens und das Löschen des Kondensstreifens während des Fluges.
Hermann hat ja ´ne Menge an Dingen aufgeschrieben, mag ja auch unter der Haube allerhand passiert sein, aber ersichtlich ist nach dem ersten Test davon nicht viel, um nicht zu sagen: nichts.
Der Himmel ist, wie gesagt, vilolett und weiter entfernte Objekte (hier Hochhäuser) sind ebenfalls violett eingefärbt. Hinzugekommen ist das Weather Briefing, dass aber auch "nur" das Wetter der umliegenden Staionen als METAR anzeugt.
Eine Kollege aus Wien hatte mit der Version 1.06 das Problem, dass er in Wien-Stockerau nur im Nebel stand. Das sollte mit 1.07 weg sein. Ist es aber nicht.
Aber wie gesagt, das ist eben nur der erste Eindruck. Mal sehen, was noch so kommt oder nicht.
Ach ja, das Wetter wird nach wie vor präzise angezeigt. Und die Wolken sind auch okay, obwohl ich da an der Helligkeit ein wenig geschraubt habe.

Mit den X-Plane eigenen Wolken, mit denen ich die letzten Monate geflogen bin, kommen immerhin gut 26 - 28 FPS zusammen bei gleichem Wetter und gleichen Grafik Einstellungen in X-Plane...
Muss wohl auf schönes Wetter warten oder weiter mit X-Plane Wolken fliegen 
Laut Handbuch soll die alte Version zuerst deinstalliert werden, bevor die neue Version installiert wird. "To install a new version of the software, firstly delete the previous one. To uninstall the software, it is necessary touse standard windows program “Uninstall a program”. Ich werde das also noch mal machen und die Version 1.07 neu installieren. Ich hatte sie auch erst einmal drüber installiert.

danke für die Info. Hatte allerdings nicht erwartet, dass sich xEnviro in die Registry eingräbt.
Ok, habe seit drei Tagen eine neue saubere Installation von Windows 10 auf dem Rechner. X-Plane mit xEnviro liefen aber danach wie gewohnt.
Jetzt, nach dem heutigen Update auf 1.07 ist xEnviro tatsächlich bei Apps in den Einstellungen von Windows 10 eingetragen - weiß aber nicht, ob das vorher auch so war.
Lasse mal von Dir hören, wie es gelaufen ist.

mit der Registry hat das m. E. auch nichts zu tun. Ich denke eher man will sicher gehen, dass alle Dateien ersetzt werden und vor allem die Einstellungen nicht noch alte Werte haben, die dann vielleicht Probleme machen. Bei mir läuft nach einem ersten Test alles gut. Der Lizenzschlüssel ist übrigens auch bei der Deinstallation erhalten geblieben, da er ja im Verzeichnis output/preferences gespeichert ist und nur das Plugin-Verzeichnis gelöscht wird.
Ich habe nun mal so getan wie Jürgen empfohlen hat. Irgendwas anderes als vorher habe ich bisher nicht gesehen.
Diese Nebelgeschichte mit den kleinen Flugplätzen in Österreich ist nach wie vor da!
Willi, deaktiviere mal die Lower atmosphere, das schaft sicher 20 f/s, sieht aber zunächst komisch aus.
Ich habe mit meinem Equipment in LOWI knappe 50 f/s mit den default-Einstellungen.

danke für den Tip. Damit habe ich auch schon 'rumexperimentiert'.
Das schafft wirklich reichlich FPS mehr.
Die komische Umrandung der Wolken verschwindet, wenn man HDR 'abschaltet', also den Schieberegler mittig einstellt.
Ohne HDR ist es allerdings auch richtig dunkel auf den Airports.
Schauen wir mal...

...ich schlaf' noch mal drüber. Muss viel zu viele Kompromisse bei den Einstellungen sowohl in X-Plane als auch in xEnviro eingehen. Mag ich eigentlich nicht.
Wahrscheinlich geht's wieder zurück zu den X-Plane Wolken mit FSGRW.

1.07 is not a major release and by definition of a minor version does not suppose to fix everything, bring dramatic changes nor be perfect in all aspects. Therefore X-Enviro may produce unexpected visuals at times which Andrey would like to see on the Support Team reports, which in turn acts as a collection filter providing only digested reports. Please also note that weather depiction inconsistencies can be caused by the server settings and METAR report anomalies but can be adjusted regardless of the plugin version. Therefore he would appreciate your reports to the Support team using tickets on the xenviro.net web site of such cases with logs and metar.rwx attached.
I will add my own comment here. The execution of the voxtel arrays was a huge programming load and as beta testers, we worked through many changes, tweaks and complex questions. Andrey has kept as close to his road map as possible and many of the artifacts are on the list for future repair. I think we are fortunate to have 1.07 to use and to enjoy while Andrey continues development on new features and repairs. It should quiet those who have complained about the time required to produce this weather engine, and comfort those who could not see improvements. It is still a work in progress, and 1.07 is free to current owners of 1.06. Future updates should be faster now that the basic engine is in place.
